The Story
The epic fall of the Dark Lord, Voldemort, has come to pass and so the wizarding community settles into a new sense of happiness and comfort as the last remnants of the war with evil are eradicated.
Through joining all races a better, stronger peace is in the works. Building up allegiances with all manner of creatures in the hopes of Keeping the peace and happiness of all.
A happiness and comfort that will soon be disrupted. As the months pass some of the students attending Hogwarts school come to realize the power they hold and become fascinated by the darkness that drives them to destruction and chaos.
And so a new evil rises up. Which side will you choose?

these are the words that came from the mouth of sibyl trelawney as the year 1977 dawned. no one was around to hear this prophecy, so no one would know until it became history. but speculation still fell over the land. rumors of a legion of dark wizards going after muggleborns was the talk behind closed doors. then the daily prophet recently released a paper with the headline, 'MUGGLEBORNS TARGETED: ONE ALREADY DEAD'. these dark wizards may not have a name, and though their identities are unknown, they are out there. fear struck all, and old prejudices that the wizarding world politely stifled for decorum's sake reared their ugly head again.
meanwhile in the safe confines of hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, the marauders are in their seventh year. they too are noticing the changes occurring in their world. they see the pureblood elitists walk down the hall making taunts to all the 'mudbloods' that cross them, and whispering to each other as if they were in the conspiracy as well. they see the teachers watching them like hawks just as they're walking through the corridors. they notice dumbledore always going off alone or accompanied by some alumni or ministry official that they recognize to some unknown destination. they are awfully knowing yet unknowing nowadays. despite all this, it's their seventh year. nothing's going to bring them down. but anything can happen, so one must be ready for anything.

Mosaics weathered by the ravages of time tell tales of cities built upon cities, of governments long since fallen, of gods and beliefs abandoned, and the evolution of man; magick and technology. Magick stirs deep within those of divine blood; royalty and nobility. It's this that separates the lesserfolk from those of high station, but one cannot forget what has kept mankind alive.
It's the root of our survival.
Man creates new and innovative ways to perform menial tasks; evolving with the times and pushing forward. Now, locomotives charge ahead with steam spouting from their smokestacks, and steam boats ferry up large waterways with passengers upon deck; the world's bustling with an Industrial Age and the promise of a Golden Era looms upon the horizon, or so they think.
...and it's here, within the land of Elysia, that mankind is beginning to wallow within the murky depths of their own society. With the people segregated and divided amongst themselves, the poor are oppressed by the rich; any semblance of normalcy held above them. Those who cannot afford taxes are apprehended and forced to work within the mines for days on end; weeks, even. All the while those of the upper class reap all the benefits of their lesserfolk barely scraping by.
They were blinded by false promises of a Golden Era, and now the populace of Elysia are ruled by a power hungry tyrant who wants nothing more than to reign supreme over the known world. Her voice is only rivaled by the sudden outcry of the lifeblood of the city; the poor and beggars. Where no one had ever been strong enough to voice their outrage, now one man does.

Here begins an endless round of balls, assemblies, theatre parties, military reviews, masquerades, dances, routs, and alfresco breakfasts. For those upper-class families with a country seat and children to marry off, this is the time to return to London and take up residence in an owned or rented Mayfair town house, in order to play the 'marriage market'.
Quadrille is a brand new play-by-post RPG set during the English Regency, a period of excess for the aristocracy characterised by distinctive fashions, politics and culture. Over a hundred years ago...
The King of Thieves was captured in a failed attempt to kill the Hylian King and usurp the throne. As punishment, he was ordered to be executed by the Ancient Sage spirits, but as this order was carried out, through some divine jest, the evil Gerudo was gifted with the Goddesses’ power and revived.
Breaking free of his restraints, the dark lord drew the weapon of his demise from his chest, his vile laugh filling the air as he prepared to kill his executioners. However, this short moment of reprieve was the King’s downfall, as the Sages managed to open a portal to another world behind him. The void the portal created began to pull at him, slowly drawing him towards its depths, proving beyond even the Goddesses’ power to prevent.
The last act of the King of Evil before he disappeared from time was to launch the Sage’s Sword into the portal’s originator, piercing the very center of the Mirror of Twilight, but this proved to be worthless, as the damage was merely superficial, and the blade was quickly pulled into the void with its new owner…
The world has since lived in peace, battles and wars are small and short, fights becoming a mere training exercise of caution. People remain alert, prepared, but relaxed and comfortable.
Unfortunately, as with all things,
peace cannot last forever…
As you can tell, this is a Legend of Zelda Roleplay site, and I'm sure those of you who have good eyes can tell its based on the Twilight Princess game, but expanded and with a twist. We like to think of our site as a "Fantasy/Zelda RP", the knowledge of Zelda required is minimal~ You are able to claim canons from the game, as well as make original characters, get involved with the plot if you wish, and roleplay to your hearts content. ♥

But hidden deep in the high rise city blocks lie low rise hopes. The Great Depression has hit New York hard and, thanks to the prohibition laws, the people don't even have any liquor to drown away their sorrows. It is during these dark times that any easy way out of the bleakness of life can seem like a good idea. Thus, buried within the boroughs of Manhattan, The Midnight Cabaret was born.
And all it costs to be a member is your soul. A small price to pay for lifelong happiness don't you think? Money, fame, love? Well it's all just a signature away. Take a step into the Midnight Cabaret and see for yourself. Get to know the Master of Ceremonies and all the other denizens of the dark. Eternal damnation sure as hell can be fun!
But look out! The good guys are about. Gosh darn beings of All That Is Light And Good (or ATILAG as it's sometimes called) always busting in on the party. Trying to convince humans to redeem themselves and all that malarkey. Good thing the dark side has beings of their own to sway the humans towards what is hip 'n' happenin'. But which side will win over in the end? It's up to the humans to decide.
